Make Him Commit to You - Learn to Say and Do the Things That Make Him Want to Commit

Are you having trouble getting him to commit to you? Would you like to know what you can do to make him want to commit? If what you are already doing isn't working, are you willing to try a new approach? It is possible to make him commit to you if say and do the right things.

Don't try to do it alone.

Many times women feel that if they just try harder or wait long enough, he'll eventually come around. The problem with this approach is that you are putting all the pressure on yourself to make things work. But a relationship involves two people who both desire the same outcome. Did you catch that? You can't make him commit if somewhere inside of him, he doesn't have that desire for a deeper level of commitment with you. The good news is that if he's with you, then there is the possibility that the desire does exist. You just have to connect with him in the right ways in order to bring his desire to the surface. So where should you start?

Find fulfillment in your own life separate from your man.

This may sounds counterintuitive, but you want to bring out the best in your man, you need to constantly work on being the best person you can apart from him. The great thing about this is that even if things don't work out with this particular man, you haven't lost or wasted any time. If you refuse to get lazy and instead use each relationship as an opportunity to grow as an individual, then you are in a better position to enter a long term committed relationship when the right man comes along.

Avoid relationship laziness which can often lead to desperation.

If you want to make him commit, you have to stay on top of your game at all times. It's easy to become lazy in relationships and then freak out when you wake up one day and realize things are not going the way you wanted or planned. When this happens you often go into desperation mode and begin try to convince a man about why he should commit. You also begin to place a lot of pressure on him to get on your timetable.

Men read this as desperation and automatically shut down.

To avoid this, make sure that you are putting forth the right amount of effort into keeping the relationship energized and fun. It's easy to fall into routines that become boring for both of you. If you feel that the two of you aren't connecting any more, don't approach him about it in the "we need to talk" sort of way. Instead, think of something fun that you used to do together in which you really connected. Then invite him to participate in that activity with you. While you are engaged in the activity point out how much you love being with him. Tell him you enjoy his company. When a man is having fun with you, it reignites the emotional bond that may have become dormant.

Recognize when it's time to move on.

Sometimes you can do and say all the right things and it still won't be enough to make a man commit. Realize that the problem is not with you at this point. If you are doing all these things, and it's not getting his attention or inspiring him to connect on a deeper level, then there is something inside of him that is holding him back. Don't beat yourself up. It's not your fault. Go out and find a man that is capable of commitment. There are plenty of them out there. And who knows? Walking away could be just the thing that inspires this guy to step up. He may surprise you a couple months down the road. If he does seek you out again, and you are still interested, test the waters. If he quickly falls back into the same old patterns, then nothing has changed. Your relationship will end up right back where you left it.

Don't ever make yourself a slave to a relationship in order to make a man commit to you. Stay connected and true to who you are at all times.
